Passionate PrayersNo king is saved by the size of his army;no warrior escapes by his great strength. A horse is a vain hope for deliverance; despite all its great strength it cannot save. But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in you. Times of struggle have always been opportunities for great spiritual growth and revival. I have never read the Psalms with such interest, and have never prayed with such passion not just for myself but on behalf of a whole people. Our church has been reduced to a fraction of what we once were but I feel that we have potential to be kingdom greater than we have ever been! Looking forward to God revealing things to us. He has certainly shaken me at a level that I have not experienced before, but He has also filled me with a deep sense of hope and an anticipation of the future...not just Amy and Caleb future but Egypt's future!
